3. Matching puzzle pieces to Domino Cards.

The play situation becomes a test situation when the child matches the puzzle pieces to the very small pictures on the LEA Domino cards. Although she names the symbols she is asked to also match so that the test remains a play situation. It is easy to observe when the task becomes difficult and she is nearly giving up.

"Now we have so small pictures. Which piece would you put on this?.. at the other end (of the card) there is SUCH a small picture. Which is it?"
"Ball." "Yes it is a ball, what do we put on it?"
"And what do we have here?"
